Anna Gruffman

Vice President Health & Safety of Vattenfall AB

Anna Gruffman holds a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Environment and Health. She brings extensive experience across operational, tactical, and strategic levels of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) work, gained from diverse sectors including public authorities, manufacturing, mining and tunneling, construction, and currently the energy industry. She has served as a technical expert for the Swedish Standards Institute (TK301) in Health and Safety Management Systems, where she also chaired the committee from 2008 to 2018. Internationally, Anna contributed as a technical expert in PC283, the working group responsible for developing OHSAS 18001, now ISO 45001. She is also chair and board member and authorized signatory of SÄKU, Sweden’s largest Safety Culture Network. Anna is known for her collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and ability to drive change. She thrives in global matrix organisations, where she consistently motivates teams and delivers results. Her leadership style is hands-on, inclusive, and focused on continuous improvement. Outside of work, Anna lives in Stockholm with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys an active lifestyle, including running, golf, horseback riding, and skiing. She is also a certified BodyPump instructor and coaches a girls’ soccer team born 2010.
