As organizations mature in their cloud journey, the focus shifts from pure cost management to building a scalable, well-governed cloud operating model that enables efficiency, resilience, and informed decision-making. In this session, Sonal Gupta, Senior Manager of FinOps & Hosting Service Delivery for Western Europe at Carlsberg, shares how the company strengthened its cloud foundation by evolving governance, embedding cost-aware architectures, and introducing early capabilities for predictive compliance.

Rather than positioning FinOps as the centerpiece, this session explores how financial accountability integrates naturally into a broader cloud governance framework, spanning policy design, operational guardrails, and automation. Sonal will highlight practical examples of how Carlsberg improved cost optimization, increased transparency, and prepared for emerging regulatory expectations by proactively aligning cloud, security, and financial controls.

Per 1 juli 2025 is de Volksbank officieel verdergegaan als ASN Bank, samen met SNS, RegioBank en BLG Wonen. De reorganisatie bracht een nieuw organisatiemodel, een sterke vereenvoudiging en het schrappen van meer dan 700 FTE’S. Hierdoor ligt de focus nu nadrukkelijker op governance, compliance en efficiëntere processen. Dit betekent meer grip op SaaS-gebruik, contractbeheer en datakwaliteit.

In deze sessie deelt Sebastiaan Keurs, Software Asset Manager bij de ASN Bank en verantwoordelijk voor het AI CoPilot-project, hoe de bank deze veranderingen heeft aangepakt en wat de lessons learned zijn.
