Digital Product Manager and Cyber Security Specialist (former CISO) of Polestar
John has a background from working in eBanking at Thales/Gemalto and was first R&D manager and then later manager of the Product Management for one of the most secure authentication tokens, servers and mobile authenticatication tokens and SDK:s in the world. Gemalto was behind on SW security and John participated in pioneering the mobile security initiative in the company with rollout of SDL practices and development of advanced SW protections. The mobile products he was part of developing is today used by 50+ million users. After leaving Thales he ended up on Polestar and became the first CISO and brought the InfoSec team to a professional level. Today he is working as Digital Product Manager for the Polestar Preowned Car Digital program as well as building digital support for the North America dealer based business model. He still has a foot in the security domain with rollout of SDL in Polestar.
