Chairwoman Signe Vadgaard will officially open the 2026 edition of State of Cyber Security with professionalism, charisma, and her renowned on-stage presence. As an experienced journalist, presenter, and well-known host for among others Danmarks Radio, Signe has a unique ability to engage audiences and create an inspiring atmosphere from the very first moment. The day will begin with a warm welcome and an opportunity to connect with fellow cybersecurity professionals, partners, and industry leaders. Signe will then guide attendees through the program ahead, introducing the keynote speakers and setting the stage for a day filled with thought-provoking insights, engaging discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. The Danish Defence Intelligence Service has assessed that the threat landscape facing Denmark is the most serious since the Second World War. Critical infrastructure is increasingly targeted by both criminal and geopolitical actors, as disruptions can have significant societal and economic consequences. At the same time, Danish and EU authorities have introduced stricter requirements for resilience in critical infrastructure, including incident management, third party risk management, documented risk management, and executive oversight. This session will provide an overview of the regulatory landscape, what authorities expect from organisations today, and how to prepare for supervisory inspections and audits. It will also include how effective management reporting can support executive decision-making on security and compliance.

What happens when AI becomes part of the cybersecurity landscape, both as a tool and as a threat. It covers how AI can be used as an attack vector, where it can strengthen defence, and what organisations should expect next. The session will explore practical examples of what can go wrong, where the real opportunities are, and how to think more clearly about future risks and developments. The aim is to give a grounded view of how AI is changing cybersecurity, and what leaders and organisations need to do to prepare for what comes next.

In this unique and inspiring session, Jakob Bøgh Sørensen takes you inside the dynamic world of IT, digital operations, and cyber resilience at one of Scandinavia’s biggest football clubs and event venues. From high-profile matchdays and sold-out concerts to major public events, F.C. København operates in an environment filled with external dependencies, fast-moving operations, and constantly evolving cyber risks. As Jakob explains, the world of football and stadium security has traditionally been relatively immature from a cybersecurity perspective, making organizations in this sector attractive targets. Rather than focusing only on technology, Jakob chose to transform the club’s cybersecurity culture from within. In this session, he shares how he built awareness and engagement across the entire organization, from the head coach to kitchen staff, creating a culture where employees feel empowered to contribute to security success. Attendees will gain practical insights, relatable examples, and actionable strategies that can be applied directly within their own organizations to strengthen cyber awareness and organizational resilience.

Andrej Savin (Copenhagen Business School) explores risk-based cybersecurity compliance within EU regulations. Drawing on frameworks such as the Cybersecurity Act and NIS2, he will demonstrate how organizations can effectively navigate increasing compliance demands. He will also introduce a practical tool designed to simplify cyber compliance in the supply chain, making it accessible even without deep technical expertise. The session offers clear, actionable insights to turn compliance from a burden into a strategic advantage.
