Second Edition of De Werkconferentie Successfully Brings Together Professionals Committed to Inclusive Employment

On behalf of the Bartiméus Fonds, Heliview proudly organised the second edition of De Werkconferentie, a conference dedicated to promoting employment opportunities for people with a visual impairment.

The event brought together employers, policymakers, researchers, educators, social organisations and other professionals who share a common ambition: to improve labour market participation for people with visual impairments. Throughout the day, delegates explored practical solutions, shared experiences and discussed innovative approaches to creating a more inclusive labour market.

The conference featured inspiring keynote presentations, interactive sessions and valuable networking opportunities, providing attendees with practical insights and concrete tools to help remove barriers to employment. Topics included inclusive recruitment, workplace accessibility, assistive technologies and successful collaborations between employers and support organisations.

By bringing together a wide range of stakeholders, De Werkconferentie continues to serve as an important platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. The event reinforces the shared belief that sustainable employment opportunities can only be achieved through cooperation between employers, government bodies, educational institutions and organisations supporting people with visual impairments.

The successful second edition once again highlighted the importance of continuing the conversation around inclusive employment and demonstrated the growing commitment of organisations to making the labour market more accessible for everyone.

Heliview is proud to have organised this inspiring event in partnership with the Bartiméus Fund and would like to thank all speakers, delegates and partners for contributing to another successful edition.
