GS1 FORUM the annual event of GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg

GS1 FORUM is an annual event of GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg where the non-profit organisation discusses the latest developments in standardisation and the supply chain and looks at the next evolutions and projects.

This year, the event will take place on October 7th, covering all topics such as the improving of the supply chain with the help of standardisation and how the Digital Product Passport can contribute to a sustainable value chain. In addition, we also look at the importance of the data quality and the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on (e-)commerce. During the GS1 FORUM, you can expect (international) speakers coming from the entire logistics chain: from manufacturers to retailers, every aspect is covered and everyone brings their own perspectives on the future of logistics.

Last year at GS1 FORUM, participants could discover the ins and outs about Peppol during the cross-sector session. You can see what it looked like here! This year, the participants will get a glimpse of the activities of GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg on e-procurement and the organisation’s strategy on e-procurement.

New this year at GS1 FORUM are the sector specific sessions that will be held the week after the plenary session. Depending on the sector in which you are active, you can follow a session of about an hour and a half that tells you more about a specific topic related to your sector. The covered sectors:

  • Do-it-yourself, garden and pet on October 11th
  • FMCG & Food service on October 12th
  • Healthcare on October 14th
  • Marketplaces such as Amazon or bol.com and a demonstration of My Product Manager for beginners on October 15th

Do you want to be there? Consult the full program and register here. See you soon!

What does GS1 Belgilux do regarding transactional data exchange? As a Peppol knowledge centre, the organisation offers various Peppol and transactional data exchange courses, but they also participate as an expert and jury member in various events such as the e-invoicing talk show of the Flemish government. The cross-sector team van GS1 Belgilux also started this year with a newsletter in order to keep their members up-to-date on the latest projects and evolutions in e-procurement.

GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg is knowledge partner from the annual E-Invoicing Event.
