Wouter Bollaert

Wouter Bollaert is Advisor General ad interim at the Federal Public Service (FPS) Finance and plays a crucial role in the implementation of VAT-related projects and initiatives within the SME department. With more than 14 years of experience at the FPS Finance, including almost 12 years in management support, he focuses on increasing efficiency and optimising work processes. He leads projects focused on digital transformation, including the introduction of mandatory e-invoicing and e-reporting in Belgium. This reform, which will take effect from 2026, will oblige companies to adopt electronic invoicing, leading to more transparency, simplification of administration and reduction of fraud. As an expert and speaker at conferences such as the E-Invoicing Conference, Bollaert shares his insights and vision to support companies and organisations in this transition to digital VAT processes.
